Thoughts on new music: Happy! but Not Really

In an effort to break from the norm and to do something unexpected, Robert Willes (Tampico Lasting Love) and I wrote these two tracks.

We aimed for a more “pop” feel while also taking daring chances and applying a good dose of tongue and cheek silliness.

The first track is deeper than most would expect upon listening to it.  Juxtaposed against the fun textures and groovy beat, hide words of healing and hope.

The second track is simply fun.  We all need a good laugh sometimes and sometimes it’s healthy to not care and have a little bit of fun.

A special thanks to Megan Masako for lending her voice perfectly for this style of music.  Thanks to Spencer Carter of Cortica Sound.  Thanks to Preston Judd and David Kjar for their musical additions.  Thanks to ReyLynn Taylor for the cover art.  A special thanks to Robert Willes for his incredible production, strings and effort in all aspects of this project.
