The Beatitude Project was started in 2024 in conjunction with the release of Donovan Taylor’s debut album, Beatitude.
The project is an interdisciplinary art performance fusing the live performance of Donovan Taylor’s album, Beatitude, with the inspiring visual portraits and videography of Ty Mecham. This project grew from Donovan’s desire to share his mental health journey while extending the message of healing past himself and to those around him. Ty joined the project to help with just that. Using multi-colored light in his portraits, Ty encourages the audience to view mental health in a new light - as a single layer of one’s multifaceted, beautiful life. In this project you will hear and see stories of vulnerability and bravery and you will experience first hand that “blessed are those that mourn, for they shall be comforted”.
The project is currently completing its 2026 National Tour, which has included performances in New York City, Seattle, Chicago, Mesa, Salt Lake City, and Hackensack.
Stay tuned for future performance dates, along with exciting announcements for the future of The Beatitude Project!
